Mustard Seed Global's mobile HIV-Aids clinic in Papua New Guinea (PNG) has effectively delivered life-saving medical services beyond the normal reach of such services. See some statistics on the clinic's operation here.

Figures from mid-2019 show a concerning jump in the prevalence of HIV. Besides this, 85% of the population of PNG lives in remote rural villages - many beyond the reach of normal medical services and in desperate need.

Mustard Seed Global plans to duplicate the services of its successful mobile HIV-Aids clinic (located at 1 on the map) to two other strategic areas in PNG:

• The Morobe Province - operating out of Lae, the seaport servicing the highlands regions (2 on the map) 
• The highlands operating from the town of Mount Hagen (3 on the map) 

These are HIV hotspots and they are linked by the Highlands Highway, a notorious pathway for the spread of the disease. 

 

The target amount for this appeal will cover:

(1) Two purpose-modified Toyota Land Cruiser 78 Troop Carrier vehicles,

(2) Salaries for 2 qualified nurses for one year, 

(3) The salary for one community worker/driver for one year,

(4) Other clinic equipment x2.
