Team Volunteers Are Valuable To Us Historically our work was done by volunteers, and volunteers remain a valuable part of our team. Volunteers bring both professional skills and logistical support. Volunteers are needed both here and overseas to enrich our work and to help us avoid too much expensive and cumbersome bureaucracy. It also saves us money on staffing that can go directly to those in need. This ensures quality leadership, management, and outcomes. Meet Beverly Akuila Beverly oversees our very effective mobile HIV-AIDS clinic project in Papua New Guinea. She joined Mustard Seed Global after working as a provincial co-ordinator for the PNG government's national HIV-AIDS strategy. Before that Beverly worked with an NGO advocating for the rights of local people having their land destroyed by logging companies. Beverly oversees a mobile clinic team of two trained nurses and a driver/community officer. She also facilitates a clinic management team made up of local partners including the PNG health department, the provincial government, the United Church, government HIV-AIDS leaders, and medical doctors. Recruitment is about to begin for someone with Beverly's level of competence to lead the development and launch of our Social Enterprise Supermarket project. Read about the Supermarkets Project
