Why volunteer

I want to make a difference

Whether you are a student, professional, young or older, we are looking for volunteers who hear the weeping of disadvantaged people in our world and want to make a difference.

With a heart like that you will have something to contribute. We'll give you basic training in protecting and serving those accessing our projects.

Mustard Seed Global serves the cause of Jesus Christ to take God's love to those who weep in the world, but you don't need to be a follower of Jesus to volunteer.

If you are a follower of Jesus there are opportunities (and training) to engage in kingdom ministry alongside all of our practical projects and also with local churches.

Why people like to volunteer for Mustard Seed Global

Besides wanting to be in the midst of the passionate activity of helping the poor, volunteering with Mustard Seed Global offers more:

  • The opportunity to be part of the formative years of a young, innovative charity
  • Professional people can apply their professional skills to the meaningful challenges of helping the world's poor
  • Professionals can also represent their company and practice corporate responsibility
  • Students can enjoy meeting other young people and get work experience at the same time
  • Those between jobs can make the best of their free time before starting a new job
  • Retirees can make good use of years of experience and enrich their lives after work
  • Those with spare time can be rewarded with a fulfilling experience

Even if you only have a few hours available a month you will be able to help.

How to Apply

The first step is to view our volunteer roles page for current opportunities to join the Mustard Seed Global team.

This page is updated regularly and we advise you to keep an eye on it and apply for any volunteer opportunities you think suitable for yourself. We will need an application for each specific volunteering opportunity.
